Interests

My primary research interests are Information and Applied Ethics, Philosophy of Technology, Information & Computer Ethics, Ethics of Cyber Conflicts and Cyber Security, Philosophy of Information.

Biography

I work as Research Fellow in Cyber Security and Ethics, at the Department of Politics and International Studies (PAIS), University of Warwick. I am also affiliated to the Uehiro Centre for Practical Ethics at the University of Oxford. Until June 2012 I held a Marie Curie Fellowship at the University of Hertfordshire. The research that I developed during the Marie Curie Fellowship focused on Information Warfare and its ethical implications. I obtained a European PhD in Philosophy at the University of Padua. My PhD thesis concerned the epistemic and ethical implications of the occurrences of e-Trust in distributed systems. I graduated in philosophy at the University of Bari with a MA thesis on the Symbol Grounding Problem.

2010 Simon Award for Outstanding Research in Computing and Philosophy by The International Association for Computing and Philosophy (IACAP).
